The Dodgers are not entirely motivated to play Arizona or the Marlins… maybe even the Friars. They know what they’ve got: The best personnel in baseball… even if an entire pitching staff and their All-Star SS stubbed his toe and broke it! Re-Tread Tony Gonsolin struggled through…
To those of you who want washed-up Nolan Arenado: He’s hitting about the same as Muncy: .239 with a .702 OPS, and Muncy makes $10 Mil while Nolan makes $30 Mil. Arenado has committed fewer errors, BUT he has also DH’ed eight games. Arenado is also older. Hell, if you want a…
Oh, you thought I was talking about THE MC HAMMER? No, I was saying that last night, Muncy and Conforto did Hammer! Muncy was 2-4 with a walk and 3 RBI and a Big Fly, and Conforto was 2-3 with a walk and a Big Fly. I am not saying they are “cured,” but they are trending in that…
Now that Austin Barnes and Chris Taylor are gone, Max Muncy has become many Dodger Fans’ Favorite Whipping Boy. He’s not hitting (well, not LHP anyway), and he has eight errors (count ’em… 8). A lynch mob is forming and they are intent on lynching Max Muncy. There’s nothing…

I think many of you missed the point of yesterday’s post: It wasn’t about my credentials… it was about the fact that I have been doing this a long time and have in fact, seen a lot and yet, I am not out there begging for some player to be traded, released, or DFA’ed. I do not…
Maybe some of you need to understand how I look at all things Dodgers. I have been a Dodger fan for over 60 years and have seen a lot. I am not a journalist or a baseball writer. I am not a member of the Baseball Writers Association of America (nor will I ever be). When I say a…
There is probably no other sport that is harder to understand and predict than baseball. Baseball is generally harder to evaluate talent-wise than football and basketball, for several structural, statistical, and developmental reasons. A couple of years ago, I extolled the…
“Thinking with your heart” generally means making decisions based upon your emotions and feelings rather than logic or reason. While it’s important to consider your emotions, relying solely on them can sometimes lead to impulsive or unwise choices. This is what has happened many…
