Mouth Breather
DISCLAIMER: I swore long ago that I would never write this… BUT, here I am doing it! I could not resist. Also, I am truly sorry if I offend anyone. Many years ago, when my wife had a series of ice cream shops, she hired a new girl, and I asked how she was doing. Her response…

A Laugher
Don’t expect this often; it might not mean a lot that Muncy, Kim, Rushing, and Outman were hitting. It was against the Little Sisters of the Poor, so there was that. However, it was good to get a glimpse of what Dalton Rushing is about and see Kim continue his quest to make the…

Is This The End of the Line for Chris Taylor?
The Dodgers showed yesterday that they were not afraid to make a move to remove a Dodger Icon when they DFA’ed Team Captain Austin Barnes. Austin was in his eleventh season with the Dodgers and, in fact, has never played for a MLB team except the Dodgers. Chris Taylor has been a…

Mike Sirota: Diamond in the Rough?
To begin with, I totally understand how much the Dodgers wanted to draft Mike Sirota. He was projected to be a first-round draft pick ahead of the 2024 Draft… some services even had him in the Top 10. However, he took a huge backward step in 2024 for various reasons. Frankly, he…

Hello Tony… Goodbye Gavin!
Tony Gonsolin looks to be back. His fastball was generally in the 92 to 94 MPH range, but occasionally he hit 95 MPH and even touched 96 MPH. At this stage of the season, I would slot Tony ahead of Dustin May, and May has also shown nice progress. Next week, the Dodgers get…

When You See the Invisible, You can do the Impossible!
Of course, the Big Dodger in the Sky is what is invisible to most people, but to us True Dodger Believers, we see it! Nothing is impossible with the Big Dodger in the Sky! Last night had to be one of the most amazing comebacks… EVER! Down three runs in the 9th inning, the…

Should the Japanese Pitchers Stay on Five Days Rest?
In the Nippon Professional Baseball league (NPB), pitchers typically get six days of rest between starts. This is often referred to as a “6-man rotation” because a team typically has six starting pitchers who pitch once a week. Some teams in the NPB may also have one day off per…

What Will the Dodgers Do?
The Dodgers Depth is a blessing… not a curse… even though it seems that way at times. They have too many players for so few positions. Hyeseong Kim has 5 MLB games under his belt with 12 ABs and he looks like he belongs. He actually looks like a spark plug. But 5 games is not a…

“Hey, Y'All, Watch This!”
That was what Dave Roberts said when he put JP Feyereisen in the game in the 10th inning. Dodger fans are losing their minds because JP is clearly a shell of himself compared to 2021 and 2022. Why the Dodgers thought he might be able to pitch effectively is beyond me… maybe they…

May, Kim and CT3
Dustin May Dustin May is 2nd to Yamamoto in innings pitched on the Dodgers. Yamamoto has 40 IP and May has 33. This is after missing two years due to injuries. Dustin May is the Dodgers’ 5th or 6th Starter and is a little rusty after such a long layoff. His ERA sits at 4.36…

The Dodgers WILL Get Younger as Ohtani Pitches Less
The two things above have nothing to do with each other. However, we are all waiting with bated breath for Shohei Ohtani to take the mound. It may come in June or July… or it could come as late as August. I am convinced that his role will not be that of a conventional starter…
