The Good Emmit Sheehan i s Special, and I am not looking at the fact he pitched five innings and allowed one run. I am looking at the shape of his pitches, his velocity, and the fact that he is frequently out of the zone by just a bit, which induces a lot of chase. This is a guy…
All Dodger fans are wondering if the Dodgers will make any trades at the deadline. I will give you a definite “Maybe.” However, do not look for anything significant. They won’t try to replace Max Muncy, and they won’t trade for a starting pitcher (at least a prominent one). They…
The Dodgers tend to play down to the level of their opponents. The White Sox are so bad that even the Dodgers, who sometimes excel at playing down, could not play that badly. The only problem with Jerry Reinsdorf selling the team is that he should have been forced to sell it and…
Yesterday, I was supposed to have carpal tunnel and elbow surgery. The Doctor and the hospital showed such a high level of incompetence that I punted. I was all in… until I saw their lack of preparation and understanding, and I walked away. I did get my back procedure approved…
The Dodgers are the most dominant team in baseball right about now, but I am always looking forward to what will happen next year and beyond. Next year could bring some BIG CHANGES for the Dodgers. Let me list what I think they will be: Max Muncy will not be re-signed. He will…
It is very frustrating to watch Dustin May because he frequently either throws a strike or an unhittable, non-competitive pitch that is two feet off the plate. Last night, he threw 84 pitches, of which 46 were strikes. That’s not good, but what is worse is how much those pitches…
I happen to think he can… However, the league will not sustain it . If anyone can pull this off, it is Clayton Kershaw! But the league is always lookiung for a chink in the armor or an advantage. First of all, what can he continue to do? He can keep pitching well and getting…
Michael Conforto has a short, compact swing that generates power. In theory, he should be a batting title contender. How he hit last night should not be surprising… but it is! Michael Conforto has been consistent. Consistently bad! He is hitting .171 on the year. In his last…
Many Dodger fans have been agast that the Dodgers have not play Hyeseong Kim more and that Dalton Rushing as the backup catcher is not getting regular at-bats, which he could at OKC. Many fans are up in arms about this. I call BS! Hyeseong Kim has had some injury (which the…
While I would not characterize it as a gem, Clayton Kershaw delivered five solid innings without ever breaking 90 MPH. He has successfully reinvented himself as a soft-tossing lefty. If the Dodgers can reimagine how they use him and Shohei Ohtani, they could win another World…
Due to circumstances beyond my control, people are coming here with political comments or baiting others. It won’t continue to happen. I will be using most of Jon Weisman’s Rules. Here they are: Thank you For Not … 1) using profanity or any euphemisms for profanity 2) personally…
Many Dodger fans are very adept at perceiving the obvious immediately. They see that Michael Conforto cannot jump out of a boat and hit water, so they express this sentiment ad nauseam. Everyone can see the obvious, and Andrew Friedman and Brandon Gomes have their eyes on this…
