Insofar as I can tell, the Los Angeles Dodgers are the only team that actively promotes its DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) approach. To me, as a fan, this is simply an attempt at virtue signaling. Virtue signaling occurs when a person publicly expresses specific moral…
I refuse to talk about last night’s game. I have some thoughts, but this isn’t the right time. I have plenty to say, but this isn’t the time to say it. Hope still springs eternal… until it doesn’t. I have not reached that point… Some Dodger fans have had their attention grabbed…
Mark Timmons, longtime blogger about Dodger Baseball and totally unauthorized spokesman for the Los Angeles Dodgers, states that, beginning immediately, the Los Angeles Dodgers will compete in the newly formed “ Little Sisters of the Poor Slowpitch Softball League ” where they…
Every year, the Dodgers go through tough stretches, and many fans lose their minds and spew forth vomit about the Dodgers. It happens like this every year. Then I come back and try to explain that baseball is a game of streaks and adjustments to which some dumbasses always…
Andy Pages can play a fairly credible centerfield. Unfortunately, Teoscar Hernandez and Michael Conforto can’t play their respective positions a lick. As soon as Tommy Edman is back, he needs to go to CF. Teoscar needs to go to LF (with Call as his caddy), Pages goes to RF, and…
I keep hearing that the Los Angeles Dodgers are very undisciplined hitters. They’re swinging wildly at everything the pitcher throws up there. Otani, Pages, Teoscar, and others. It sounds like the Dodgers are the worst team in baseball. Would it surprise you that the Dodgers are…
I decided to pose that question to ChatGPT, and here was its surprising answer: Good question — it does look odd on the surface when the Dodgers have historically been quick to cut bait on veterans (A.J. Pollock, Hanser Alberto, even Joc Pederson a few years back) while sticking…
Had a great wedding yesterday. A photo of my son giving the couple their vows is below. We were staying at the hotel (Courtyard by Marriott) in Ft Wayne, Indiana, which overlooked the Tin Caps field. (Padres A+ Affiliate). I am most certainly staying here next year for the…
Or I Could Say, It’s Not How You Start… It’s How You Finish! Heather Dorniden (now Heather Kampf) is an American middle-distance runner best known for her grit and determination on the track. She competed for the University of Minnesota, where she was an NCAA champion in the 800…
Andy Pages is OK in CF, but Teo is a below-average RF, and Conforto is a below-average LF’er. As players start to get healthy, I think the Dodgers’ defensive realignment will change, and NO, MOOKIE IS NOT GOING BACK TO RF. SS is the most important defensive position, and Mookie…
The Dodgers still aren’t hitting, but the Dodgers’ starters outpitched the Padres’ starters, and the bullpen did just enough to win. The Padres did get some lucky hits… that’s for sure. Additionally, the Dodgers played fundamentally sound baseball and (for the most part) let the…
