Ryu gets tattooed and now there is a problem with the starting pitching? I do not consider Ryu anything more than a #7 on this team. I have no idea whether Ryu would have pitched better with regular rest or extended. Maybe his curve just does not work in Colorado. I have no delusions that Ryu will be anywhere close to the pitcher he was before his shoulder problems.

During the dialogue about the Dodgers non-desire to pay for $100M+ pitching, Scott Andes stated “Those guys are expensive because hold onto your hats here, they are good, and you get what you pay for.” Since he knows the Dodgers can afford to sign 10 Greinke s, obviously he feels the Dodgers have no salary cap to concern themselves with. Hyun-Jin Ryu looked much better last night as he pitched much differently than the power pitcher he used to be. The curve and changeup are his go to pitches with the fastball in the 89-90 MPH range and an occasional 91-92 MPH just for effect. He can be effective when pitching like this, but there is little margin for error. The way I see it, he is our Number 5 .
While I love to read Dodgerrick’s comments, I think that he and I look at the state of the Dodgers in different prisms, but he asked some questions earlier that got me to thinking.
