Two losses in a row! The sky is falling! We are doomed! Not really. The Dodgers just have the hiccups. They don t have cancer or heart disease! It will all be fine. It s a 162 game season and there is no way you can bring it every day. No way, no how! You can try, but somedays it just ain t there. The last I checked, the game was played by
Last night s game? Forgetaboutit! Move on nothing to see here folks. The team is still on pace to win 115 games. To break the record they will have to have a .717 winning percentage. With the resting of players and looking at roles for the playoffs, it seems unlikely that they will go the requisite 25-9 the rest of the way in order to beat the record. The record
I still like the name The Big Blue Wrecking Crew but that was another time and another team. We can t use the same name again there are rules against such things. The 1988 Dodgers were comprised of The Stunt Men who include Mickey Hatcher, so that was a fitting moniker too. I thought of other names like The Blue Juggernaut. But, the way this team is built with a
Wilmer Font is a 27 year old RHSP for the OKC Dodgers. He is not on the 40 man roster, and is a little old to be considered a prospect, but he has had a tremendous season and is more than worthy of a September callup. The La Guaira, Venezuela native stands 6’4” and weighs 209 pounds. He signed with the Rangers and began his professional career as a 17
I was elated at the way Rich Hill pitched last night. He has had difficulty this year with the blisters and being on and off the DL and failing to get the feel for his game. He has had some good outings starting in July, but, last night he finally put it all together and it is now apparent that the Dodgers have a #1 and three #2 s! Rich Hill
We all know that the Dodgers are in the process of finishing the regular season with home field advantage throughout the playoffs, but many of the minor league teams are also in playoff contention. 6 of the 8 teams have legitimate playoff hopes, and two are almost certain. AAA – OKC Dodgers – This is one of the teams that playoff hopes are quickly slipping away. They find themselves 9
Would it surprise you to know that for the past 365 days, Pedro Baez s ERA is 1.62? Would you be shocked to discover that with RISP, hitters are batting .104 against Pedro? Would you believe that Pedro Baez is much better in a high leverage situation that a low leverage situation? All of that is true. Look at the stats (all from Baseball-Reference): Low Leverage Situations: BA .271 Medium
There s not much left for the Dodgers to play for except maybe immortality! Being immortalized as the best team in the history of the game could be quite and incentive. The Dodgers are playing at .713 clip and could eclipse the record of 116 games. It s a longshot and it really means nothing, but it s withing access. No other teams are within a dozen games of the Dodgers record. The
With September looming and the season nearing the playoffs, I thought I would share my thoughts on what the Dodgers Top 10 Prospect list looks like to me. It might be fun to compare mine to AC s as well. I am sure we will differ. I tend to look at this differently than many people. Here s the list. Dodgers Top 10 Prospects #10 Kyle Farmer C/Infield He has taken
There is no right answer here. But, the fact of the matter is that no rookie in the history of baseball has matched what one Cody Bellinger has done in less than 100 games! Cody Bellinger has 34 home runs in 97 games and is likely the best 1B in all of baseball. He s fast, he s gifted and he s a Future Hall-of-Famer (I guarantee it or your money back). Mike
Doc is what is up! Dave Roberts, who in his rookie season as the Dodger s manager, won the Manager of the Year Award is a shoo-in to do it again in his second year. He s so far ahead, there s not a second place. Of course, FAZ gave him an embarrassment of riches, but he has managed it almost flawlessly. I still know of three or four morons who criticize FAZ
You know, we all have ideas about what the Dodgers should do with their lineup. I want to dump Joc. Others want to move Puig up in the order. Some want to bench Logan Forsythe. I must say this: Everyone got their wish when Chris Hatchet was traded, but I think we all have to remember that this team is 50 games over .500. They are playing the best baseball
