Evidently, the Dodgers should rest Shohei Ohtani whenever he pitches if this is the result. Tanner Scott looks like Tanner Scott. Give Kyle Hurt some time – he’s filthy! Brock Stewart is coming soon. Rushing is barking at the door. Andy Pages = All-Star CF’er Dodgers Down on the…
June 23, 1973: Dodger Stadium Los Angeles, opponent, the Cincinnati Reds. In the second game of a doubleheader, Steve Garvey, Davey Lopes, Ron Cey, and Bill Russell, started a game together as an infield for the first time. They would make up the infield for the next eight…
I am not going to pile on Roki. Has he pitched well? I do not believe he even believes that. But he is a MLB pitcher. His 80 th percentile whiff rate tells you that. He needs to clean up his fastball command as well as his secondary command. His fastball is catching too much of…
DISCLAIMER: It was a late Friday night in Indiana (1 AM-ish), and when Edwin Diaz came in with a 7-4 lead, I almost went to bed, but something told me to stay up. I’m glad I did. Here’s the tale… Ladies and gentlemen, gather ‘round — because on Friday night at the Ravine, Max…

Over their long and storied history, the Dodgers have had some very good left-handed hitters. One of the first was Wee Willie Keeler. Keeler played 19 years in the majors. His nickname besides Wee Willie, was Hit Em Where They Ain’t. He was very good at that. He played from…
The photo (L → R): Badger, Roger Doger (RIP), and a guy who looks like he still asks Siri how baseball works. Yamamoto isn’t just the best pitcher in baseball… he’s operating on a different firmware. The league is still buffering. I buried Blake Treinen . Wrote the eulogy…
With apologies to Kenny Rogers for taking lyrical liberties with one of my favorites. However, we are 10 games into the season, and many are already talking about trades. Let me say straight up, I am not a CJ Abrams fan. Is he a good offensive infielder? Sure. But does he have…
The Dodgers are 7-2, but it feels like they can do better. Tonight starts the World Series rematch, and the Blue Jays are 4-5. It feels like they have slipped a notch or two in the talent department. It will be fun to watch the series, but games right about now mean very little…
Watford Dodger has been CJ Abrams’ agent since Christ was in Cleveland. BTW: Happy Easter to Everyone! I was never a fan because of his youthful immaturity… and he is still there to some degree, but I do think he is going to have a monster bat. There is 30 HR potential in that…
Saturday, June 1, 2019, Dodger Stadium. Dodgers playing the second game of a three-game set against the Phillies. Kershaw was facing Jose Alvarez of the Phillies. His catcher that day was rookie, Will Smith, who had been called up and made his debut just 3 days earlier on May…
