We have what I believe is the best Dodger Blog on the web. Of course, it’s the comments and even the readers who don’t comment (thousands a day), as well as the quality of the posts by 2Demeter2 (2D2), Dodger Chatter (DC), and Jeff Dominique or Always Compete (AC) as we have known him.

2D2 is employed full-time as an attorney (watch it or he will sue you, as will several other attornies on this site (I’m joking).

DC is nearing his 9th decade on this earth and is still smart as a whip… probably because of being a former educator.

AC is a CFO and also works full-time, but there are rumors he will retire at some point.

Me? I’m just a hack, who tries to write. Yesterday, I got my first social security check, but I still routinely work 10 hour days.. and probably will for 5-10 more years, as what I do it not work and if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. I’m there.

I am trying to cut back my involvement on the website and to that end, we are looking for another writer or two who can commit to writing just one day a week. If you think you are that person and want to commit to doing it every week, e-mail me at mark@uswatersystems.com.

I do not tell anyone what to write and they are free to disagree with me on any issue (they would be wrong, but…. 😉 ) So, think about it and let me know… Oh, I almost forgot: The pay is bad and the boss is an S.O.B. Other than that, it’s all good!

As usual, this blog is paid for by US Water Systems, Inc. so you don’t have to endure a barrage of ads and pop-ups. I do get in a shameless plug occasionally (like this):

This is the best blog! It keeps me sane during the long winter months with nothing to watch but Hallmark Movies.

You guys all deserve good pay and a Christmas bonus for all the articles you wrote through the years. Mark, AC. DC, 2D2, you have been just amazing. Thank you. Welcome to the new writer. Looking forward to reading his postings.

Former Rockies GM and current MLB network analyst Dan O’Dowd laid out a potential framework f a Mookie Betts-David Price deal:

Dodgers acquire: Mookie Betts, David Price, cash considerations

Red Sox acquire: AJ Pollock, Ross Stripling, Dennis Santana, Jordan Sheffield, Jeren Kendall

I would like to smoke what he’s smoking if he really thinks Boston would take that deal

With that said, what do you think about the Price Betts rumor that’s centered around Joc? Sounds too good to be true to me. I think it was referenced on the DN site.

This site is the best. Whoever it is, thanks for joining the team. And at the same time, less of Mark is a sad thing. You all do a great job. Thanks MT, AC, DC and 2D2! Since you all get paid so little, I thought I was a little overdue in the “Thank You” department. Keep up the great work and congratulations to the new guy.

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

We have another writer. He will probably write under a pseudonym and I won’t tell you who he is unless he does.

When he contacted me tonight, he wrote this:

“Mark, I have really enjoyed your work over the years and I have a very deep respect for what you bring to the table. I don’t need to say it, you’re blog is the best. It was you and Weismann, and then he moved on to greener pastures. All your writers are fantastic. AC is amazing. He is so knowledgeable and his perspective as a Father of a ballplayer that struggled to make it to the show is a take that few can understand. DC is a friend and he can vouch for me if you need a reference. DC is as genuine a person that I have ever know and his knowledge of the minors and past Dodger history is such a valuable resource.

I have wanted this guy for a while, but when the time was right – he showed up!

Unfortunately my english is not good and for that reason and I don’t comment too much, but I would have liked to participate more in this blog, most of the time I have to use the translator to write, although I understand perfectly when reading.

Good luck to future contributors and I totally agree that this is the best blog of all!

By the way, my data was deleted from my laptop and I had to re-enter my email and my name, but this time I just put Jorge VR and my comment was not published waiting to be accepted

  8. CassidyDecember 19, 2019

Have you contacted AF. He hasn’t done much this winter. He must have some time on his hands

  9. Jorge VRDecember 19, 2019

Unfortunately my english is not good and for that reason I do not comment too much, but I would have liked to be able to participate more in this blog, most of the time I have to use the translator to write, although I understand perfectly when reading.

Good luck to the new collaborators ….

And I agree with you, this is by far the best blog !!

What???? We don’t get paid! 🙂

There are many of you who comment on this board that are very capable of writing for this blog. Your insights are very well thought out and you are very articulate. Jump in the water, the temperature is fine, and trust me, you will enjoy it. I certainly do.

Dodgers Food Trailer

I did this interview a couple of weeks ago with Chef Mike, who runs the Dodgers Food Trailer for the Great Lakes Loons. They are there for every home and road regular season and playoff game. They prepare three meals a day for approximately 50 people (players and coaches). Since games end late most evenings, they do not prepare breakfast. Many of their hotels have a complimentary breakfast anyway. However,…

Meet LAD 2026 Draft Picks 1-12

3 picks were High School players (2 SS and 1 OF). There was a college OF, college catcher, college SS, and 10 college pitchers. Of all the talk for a need for a catcher, the only catcher the Dodgers selected was Luke Bard, son of LAD bullpen coach Josh Bard. Bard was a 4th year senior from Houston Christian University. He is not a prospect, so the Dodgers are still…

Interview with Paul Beachy – Team Bus Driver For The Great Lakes Loons (LA Dodgers Minor League Team)

It’s been a few days since I did this interview. We have evidently been working my son-in-law (the video guy) like a rented mule at US Water Systems. However, I am taking him to London with me in a few days, so maybe Watford will buy him a pint as a tip, but he’s a dang Red Sox fan, so there is that! I thought that it would be interesting…

Thanks for Your Service: Chris Taylor

I was going to do this post when Chris announced he was retiring, then he changed his mind, but since the chances of him ever playing for the Dodgers again are slim and non-existent, I will go ahead with this post. He unretired, went on the IL, then decided to call it quits on May 24th. Taylor was born in Virginia Beach VA on August 29th, 1990. He attended Great…
