It’s a great time to be a Dodger fan. I keep hearing that the outfield is weak. OK, whatever! I disagree, but I have never been able to change anyone’s mind that has already been made up… successfully. However, if you each get one Dodger wish for Christmas… What would it be…
I was listening to MLB.Radio yesterday and Blake Treinen was a guest. He says he is 100% healthy, has no soreness, has his full range of motion back, and is eager to get back into action. He was obviously very excited about his health. They then asked if the Dodger players were…
My definition of “ Mixed Emotions ” is “ seeing your mother-in-law drive over a cliff in your new Rolls Royce.” If you had told me a couple of months ago that the Dodgers would spend $1.1 BILLION DOLLARS on two players this Winter, I would have said that you were out of your…
When I first heard about the Dodger’s possible acquisition of Tyler Glasnow, I was against it. After all, Ryan Pepiot has the potential to be a #4 or #5 starter, and Jonny DeLuca was an intriguing platoon partner for Jason Heyward or James Outman. I also knew that Glasnow, while…
We know what we know – that’s the easy part, but what about what we don’t know about what we don’t know? That’s the hard part. So, let’s just stick with what we know or maybe think we know. We know that Will Smith will be the starting catcher . That’s good. He’s likely one of…
You ask most any Dodger fan, and they will say one of the bigger disappointments of the 2023 playoff series against the D-Backs was the performance, or lack thereof, of Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Part of the Dodgers’ futility in their last three playoff appearances has…
Many Dodger fans jump to conclusions and assume something is true without knowing the underlying facts. They get a certain narrative in their mind, decide what they want to believe, and make statements as if they were fact. Frequently, they try to accuse me of something based on…
Yesterday, someone wrote this: It’s fun to watch the roster additions and ruminate on who might be next! Another frontline starter is def needed, although the Dodgers may wait until mid-season, giving their young arms a chance. The outfield is underwhelming at the moment. A…
Not all trades work out. Specifically, I am talking about Ryan Pepiot and Jonny LeDuca for Tyler Glasnow and Manuel Margot. It’s easy for a fan to look at a glass half full or a glass half empty. I prefer to think that there is no glass. Every trade is “Risk vs. Reward.” In the…
I admit that I jumped to conclusions when I heard that the Dodgers had signed Shohei Ohtani for $700 Million. I thought that was insane. It turned out that I had Myopia! In case you don’t know the meaning of myopia, here it is: “lack of imagination, foresight, or intellectual…
Last night, the family was in for dinner, and my oldest son, who lives in Brooklyn (he has been here for 5 weeks helping his grandmother transition to a Senior Care Facility), is heading home today, so we had a goodbye dinner and stayed up late. Today is one of those days where…
More moves by Andrew Friedman… that’s what! Will they be sooner… or later? I smell a big one coming very soon! I think that by the weekend, Friedman has to decide if he is going to pull the trigger on Yamamoto, Burnes, or Cease. I believe that it is critical he gets one of the…
