Merry Dodger Christmas

It’s a great time to be a Dodger fan. I keep hearing that the outfield is weak. OK, whatever! I disagree, but I have never been able to change anyone’s mind that has already been made up… successfully. However, if you each get one Dodger wish for Christmas… What would it be…

I keep hearing that the outfield is weak.

OK, whatever!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

From the Timmons family to you and yours: From L to R: Tasha (daughter), Me, Patty (wife), Steve (son), and Rhiannon (daughter-in-law). Missing are my oldest son (Nick in NY) and my wife’s two kids (Chris and Cassie and their spouses), spending the Holiday with their father in SF, who happens to be moving to Indy next year), and the six granddaughters.

Merry Christmas to Mark, Bear, and all the contributors at LADT. I greatly appreciate your efforts and your opinions. We are blessed to live in countries where we have freedom of speech and religion. I wish a joyous holiday to all!

My Dodger wish is Clayton comes back as dominant as he was in his Cy Young years. We win the World Series with him on the mound and he is carried off on the shoulders of his teammates. The only fitting finish to a true first ballot Hall of Fame career. Merry Christmas to all Dodgers knucklehead fans like we all are! Meant in the warmest way possible, Dan

My Dodger wish all’s I ask for is 2024 seasonal front row behind the plate tickets and VIP parking. Is there really a Santa? I mean I’ve been good, sort of. A very magical Xmass all.

  5. dodger dadDecember 25, 2023

wow Bradley! rosario is washed! i like vargas and busch! just not enough room for both. read the white sox would want busch , vargas , and a catcher for cease. wouldn’t do that for cease , but i would for Robert!

  6. WayneDecember 25, 2023

    Merry Christmas everyone!

  7. dodger dadDecember 25, 2023

that was a whole lot to swallow Bradley!! but my friend you have not one guy there that moves the meter. in left field. we have plenty of .240 hitters already on the roster!

  8. BradleyDecember 25, 2023

How about a Eddie Rosario in LF a Corey Dickerson or David Grossman in LF or Tommy Pham. I thought this one last nite move Outman to Left Field and sign free agent Kevin Keilmier to play centerfield then you have Heyward and Margot and Taylor platoon in Right Field hows that sound a better outfield or there’s Michael Taylor who is a good centerfield and would be a good number nine hitter since he used to leadoff last year for the Nationals.

This Christmas season, remember that at the very first Christmas, something radical happened: the gift was the Giver himself.

    Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas to all. Great photo Mark. Lovely family (and tree behind you)

I too wish for a more injury free season. We had way more than our share last year, especially to our pitching.

Spring Training will be a zoo here in Az. Can’t wait.

An injury free season. Merry Christmas to all. My wife and I have 25 grandkids all within 10 minutes of our house in Reno. We are truly blessed.

love this place! Merry christmas everyone! i admit , i’m one guilty of wanting a power hitting left fielder, sorry, the heart wants what the heart wants. a platoon of heyward and margot is fine. outman playing 130 games? ok with me. want a full time lrft! and please , can we get over all these mlb writers putting Taylor in left field! he’s a utility player! a good one , (overpaid) but a good one. can’t see Buehler resigning with the dodgers in 25. if he has a good season , he’ll command a healthy contract . with ohtani back in 25, yamamoto, glasnow, and sheehan, i believe he walks. agree, Clayton should never wear another uniform. make it work AF! Beautiful family Mark! i have 5 grandchildren and 2 more due next month! we all have so much to be thankful for! different opinions are normal. our politicians are not! be safe everyone and love your families and raise your children and grandchildren right! as dodger fans!!!

Merry Christmas to all LADT readers and contributors! A special thanks to Mark and Old Bear for keeping the site fresh and relevant – I never miss my “Morning LADT and coffee.” As a former Mayor, I just wish that our political dialogue was as constructive and instructive as LADT has been for me…..

  21. OldBear48December 25, 2023

Merry Christmas to you and your family Mark. One wish, hmmmm. I would wish that the team is as free from injuries this season as possible. A side wish is that Kershaw is fully healthy and comes back to help them win the World Series and end his career in Dodger blue. CK should never wear a different uniform.

Dodgers Food Trailer

I did this interview a couple of weeks ago with Chef Mike, who runs the Dodgers Food Trailer for the Great Lakes Loons. They are there for every home and road regular season and playoff game. They prepare three meals a day for approximately 50 people (players and coaches). Since games end late most evenings, they do not prepare breakfast. Many of their hotels have a complimentary breakfast anyway. However,…

Meet LAD 2026 Draft Picks 1-12

3 picks were High School players (2 SS and 1 OF). There was a college OF, college catcher, college SS, and 10 college pitchers. Of all the talk for a need for a catcher, the only catcher the Dodgers selected was Luke Bard, son of LAD bullpen coach Josh Bard. Bard was a 4th year senior from Houston Christian University. He is not a prospect, so the Dodgers are still…

Interview with Paul Beachy – Team Bus Driver For The Great Lakes Loons (LA Dodgers Minor League Team)

It’s been a few days since I did this interview. We have evidently been working my son-in-law (the video guy) like a rented mule at US Water Systems. However, I am taking him to London with me in a few days, so maybe Watford will buy him a pint as a tip, but he’s a dang Red Sox fan, so there is that! I thought that it would be interesting…

Thanks for Your Service: Chris Taylor

I was going to do this post when Chris announced he was retiring, then he changed his mind, but since the chances of him ever playing for the Dodgers again are slim and non-existent, I will go ahead with this post. He unretired, went on the IL, then decided to call it quits on May 24th. Taylor was born in Virginia Beach VA on August 29th, 1990. He attended Great…
