Mookie Betts has a broken hand, and the sky is falling because the world has ended. Un… no! Betts had his hand broken by a 98 MPH fastball thrown by Dan Altavilla. This is baseball, and stuff happens. There will be no big trades in the immediate future. Sorry to break it to you…
The family surprised me last night and came over for a BBQ and swimming party. Our youngest granddaughter spent the night, and we are taking her out for breakfast today. I have a magical life… almost perfect but I live every day to its fullest and never take it for granted. I am…
Can the Dodgers win with Mookie Betts at SS? Of course, they can. They do not have to get a SS THIS YEAR. I do not expect Mookie to play SS for more than a year… maybe two, but he is solid at the position. Yes, he will make an error or two, but Seager and Turner were not…
Frequently, I am accused of being a “ Dodgers’ Homer ” and even “ Worshiping at the Holy Temple of Andrew Friedman ” because I have been a supporter of his since he came to LA. Unlike some fans who love to criticize Friedman or Dave Roberts, I am fine with both of them, although…
I know some of you thought I was mad because Miguel Vargas was optioned to AAA and that I skipped town, and if you thought that, well… you are truly a moron! I found out at about 3 PM that the site was down. I had a meeting with a patent lawyer from 2-3 PM to secure a new…
Well, that was a close game last night. I guess being World Series Champs doesn’t get you much respect. The Rangers need someone who can actually manage the team! 😉 At least Vargas got an AB. Ha! Time to Turn the Page It seems that most Dodger fans are concocting trades for Luis…
Fans love to speculate and dream up trade scenarios. I have concocted many trades on this very site, and the next trade scenario I get right will be my first. I readily admit that I have never concocted a trade that came true. The problem is that we do not know how either team…
I happen to like hitters who have good bat-to-ball skills. I was reminded yesterday that I championed Andy LaRoche to be a star years ago, and it never happened. Yes, I missed that big time. Subsequent to that, I have been an advocate of Alex Verdugo, Keibert Ruiz, and Miguel…
Whenever a statement can be debated, whenever the observations or assessments are laced with personal interpretations and not based on facts, then we can say that the statement is subjective in nature. Objective means making an unbiased, balanced observation based on facts that…
I keep hearing that it’s not the Dodgers, and I am also convinced that most fans would not be happy unless there was a first-team All-Star in every position. Early in the season, just about everyone was saying to get rid of Alex Vesia and Michael Grove. Well, how did that work…
That’s what Dodger fans always do. Anytime the boys in blue lose a game, we see so many knee-jerk reactions that one would think knee-jerking is an Olympic Sport; right up there with jumping to conclusions! I guess that one of the silliest things I have heard is to criticize the…
I realize that in your tenure as President of Dodger baseball, the LA Dodgers have the best winning percentage of any MLB team and that the organization is the envy of all other teams. In short, the Dodgers are the model organization. I understand that and am even amazed at the…
