NEW YORK – OCTOBER 28: Steve Howe of the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrates the Dodgers victory during World Series game six between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers on October 28, 1981 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx borough of New York City. The Dodgers defeated the…
As the season passes the halfway point, Miguel Vargas is poised to make his debut in LA sometime in the next 30 days (that’s my opinion, not a fact). Miguel has made a lot of progress this year defensively. I think he can play an “above-average” Third-Base RIGHT ABOUT NOW, but…
The Dodgers are the class of the National League once again at the midway mark for the season and with the All-Star game upon us. Voting is complete and the starters have been selected by the fans. The reserves are selected by a combination of a Player Ballot where coaches…
One of the players who I respected the most when I was growing up was Ernie Banks. I do not think I have ever seen anyone who enjoyed playing more than he did. He always had a great smile and the man could hit. The man loved the game. Ernest Banks was born in Dallas Texas, on…
As you know, a couple of weeks ago I went to Ft. Wayne to see the Great Lakes Loons play the Ft. Wayne Tin Caps and interview some future Dodgers. Earlier this week, I posted the interview with Future Dodger Manager Austin Chubb (I just made that up, but who says it won’t…

I want to thank everyone for the kind words and words of encouragement. I am of the belief that service to others is as important as doing what you want… maybe more so. Therefore, I am not going anywhere, however, I am going to look for another couple of writers over the next…
A large number of other blogs give you a blow-by-blow game recap. It’s a free country (well… maybe) and you can do that, but it might drive you crazy. See, it’s a 162-game season and if you micro-manage every game, it might really drive you crazy… or at least skew your vision…
This is just some random guy, but he nailed it! Like everyone else, I seek patience… and I want it NOW, Damnit! I admit that I have lost patience with Gavin Lux, Justin Turner, Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy, and Robert Van Socyoc. Yes, the guy who preaches patience doesn’t practice…
It has always been hard for me to rank the Top Ten Dodger Prospects, but I am going to give it a stab here before to the All-Star Break. Sometimes the criteria for ranking prospects is a little hazy to define. Do you rank a AAA player who is close to being MLB-Ready higher than…
