This is a busy week as I am going into the office everyday. My son is on vacation and I have to try and take his place. So this will be short and sweet.

I have tickets to Spring Training on February 20, 22 and 23, 2025. JayB sent me some gift cards for his Pizza Restaurants (the Mellow Mushroom) and so I will have to use those too. Thank you Jay! We have been to one in Florida and it was very good. My wife, nephew and son will also be there. I may have an extra ticket or two. This is a business trip. 😉

I will also be at the Dodgers game On April 1st and this is no joke. We are taking a cruise to Mexico on April 3rd, so my son, son-in-law, and my son’s father-in-law are going to be at the game too.

I’ll see you there!

Come on… let’s make something happen…

    Bellinger is a Yankee.

Please forgive my ignorance on this. Someone please educate me. Andre Lipius had great numbers. I know he was older, but don’t understand how someone with those stats does not have trade value. And if he did not have trade value, why would we believe he will get a chance somewhere else? What am I missing here?

Love the Mellow Mushroom- seeing as we lived in North Phoenix, Ive hit the Happy Valley location a number of times. We will be preseason March 1-2. Still planning on the home games for 25….

Trying to plan a few weekend trips to hit away games and continue the quest to hit all stadiums.

Andre Lipius released. He might get an opportunity now. I hope so.

Sounds like a great spring for you and yours. Good for you. Have fun!

    Book em

I fear I have a post that is appearing and disappearing, it’s exciting. Like Schrödinger’s Cat.

MLB’s Pipeline podcast makes some 2005 projections:

    Of relevance to the Dodgers:

First they say the Dodgers and Padres are the front-runners for Sasaki.

Second, they say by year’s end the Dodgers, again, could have THE BEST FARM SYSTEM in MLB. The Dodgers’ system’s youth gives pause (7 of the top 11, and 10 of the top 17 are 20 years of age or younger), and Seattle and Detroit are pretty good. But the Dodgers are at or VERY close to the top.

    Not too shabby.

Finally, Kellen Lindsay predicted to be an ascendant player ascending from outside the top 100 to into.

Mellow Mushroom is excellent Mark! May I suggest the pretzel bites with beer cheese as an appetizer . On another note, I hope you are wrong about AF interest in Luis Robert Jr. as his OBP is consistently below Dodger standards (not just last year) , he is injury prone, and a marginal defender. I’d rather give Rushing a chance and also thus have him available to spell Smith a bit as he does wear down toward the end of each season. But AF has proven he sees things others don’t so if he goes for Robert Jr., I’ll bet he has a career year!

Ill be at the opening series vs the Tigers…..

We got Mellow Mushrooms here in NC. Haven’t been in a while though, need to hit that place up again.

We have teenage grands, so lots of Mellow Mushroom family gatherings here in Franklin TN. Fun place, good food.

Dodgers Food Trailer

I did this interview a couple of weeks ago with Chef Mike, who runs the Dodgers Food Trailer for the Great Lakes Loons. They are there for every home and road regular season and playoff game. They prepare three meals a day for approximately 50 people (players and coaches). Since games end late most evenings, they do not prepare breakfast. Many of their hotels have a complimentary breakfast anyway. However,…

Meet LAD 2026 Draft Picks 1-12

3 picks were High School players (2 SS and 1 OF). There was a college OF, college catcher, college SS, and 10 college pitchers. Of all the talk for a need for a catcher, the only catcher the Dodgers selected was Luke Bard, son of LAD bullpen coach Josh Bard. Bard was a 4th year senior from Houston Christian University. He is not a prospect, so the Dodgers are still…

Interview with Paul Beachy – Team Bus Driver For The Great Lakes Loons (LA Dodgers Minor League Team)

It’s been a few days since I did this interview. We have evidently been working my son-in-law (the video guy) like a rented mule at US Water Systems. However, I am taking him to London with me in a few days, so maybe Watford will buy him a pint as a tip, but he’s a dang Red Sox fan, so there is that! I thought that it would be interesting…

Thanks for Your Service: Chris Taylor

I was going to do this post when Chris announced he was retiring, then he changed his mind, but since the chances of him ever playing for the Dodgers again are slim and non-existent, I will go ahead with this post. He unretired, went on the IL, then decided to call it quits on May 24th. Taylor was born in Virginia Beach VA on August 29th, 1990. He attended Great…
