After 11 wins in a row, the Dodgers were beaten like rented mules! Sadly, ‘er, I mean happily, I missed it all. Yesterday morning, I had my second eye surgery – this time on my right eye. The left one was two weeks ago. I not only had the cataracts removed (wow! The colors are…
Don’t get me wrong, I like Max. He is one of those signings that come out of nowhere and pay off big. Released by the A’s in March of 2017 after a 96-game tryout where he hit only .195, he signed with the Dodgers in April of 2017 and was sent to AAA OKC. He played 110 games…
That’s me, according to one commenter. However, unsurprisingly, he got it wrong. In psychology, an idiot has the least intelligence on the IQ scale (usually between 0 and 25). Then there are imbeciles who are not quite as dumb as idiots (usually an IQ between 26 and 50). Those…
The Dodgers are going to lose someday. I promise – they are! I know it does not seem that way, but it is inevitable. Isn’t it? I mean, they are going to lose again… aren’t they? OK… maybe they won’t. Just kidding. Be ready for that one-game losing streak, and try not to lose…
43-7. Amazing run. From June 7th to August 5th, 2017, the Dodgers were nearly unbeatable. They lost two games in a row once. Not even the 2022 team that won 111 games went on a run like that. No Dodger team ever has. By August 5th, they had a 14.5-game lead in the NL West. It…
12-1 in August – I’ll take it, but be prepared for the next losing streak… and there will be one. Miguel Rojas – You cannot stop this beast! 4 RBI! Wow! 😉 The starting pitching looks much better right about now than it did in July. Urias is starting to pitch like an Ace and…
At the trade deadline, Dodger fans were generally underwhelmed by the acquisitions of Kike Hernandez, Amed Rosario, Joe Kelly, Lance Lynn, and Ryan Yarbrough. I have opted not to copy and paste what many of you said about the players Andrew Friedman and Brandon Gomes acquired at…
Early this year, Dodger outfielder, Trayce Thompson, started the season with a bang as he had a three-homer game. Unfortunately for Trayce, that was pretty much the highlight of his year, and he was traded prior to the deadline back to the White Sox. The first three-homer game…
If it’s a fact that spending money does not result in winning Championships, and that IS a fact, then why do many MLB teams spend money like drunken sailors? On the other hand, why would any free agent take fewer years to sign with a team? As I have said before, the MLBPA (of…
Shohei Ohtani is hitting at the Big A Well, here we go. Most know where I stand on the Dodgers going all in on Shohei Ohtani this winter. And, like many other times in my life, I might be totally wrong and off base. No one is perfect; we all make mistakes. In my opinion, which…
When the season started, many fans worried where the offense would come from. Some worried that Heyward, Peralta, Martinez, and Muncy were past their prime and could not deliver. They worried there were too many rookies in the lineup. They worried about the bullpen and the…
Absolutely nothing! Fox Sports named the Los Angeles Dodgers among the Loosers at the trade deadline. ESPN+ also included the Dodgers among the losers. The Athletic called the Dodgers “snoozers.” MLB.com listed seven teams as winners… but not the Dodgers. The Sporting News…
