This 2024 Version of your Los Angeles Dodgers is not drastically different from the 21, 22, or 23 Dodgers. The changes have been Evolutionary rather than Revolutionary. I truly believe that these are the Dodgers’ of Destiny because of the team’s evolution. Listen to the Lyrics…
Some fans only remember that in 2023, Clayton Kershaw had a shoulder problem for which he had surgery, and before the surgery, he had tried to pitch but got bombed in the playoffs. So, he had surgery on his shoulder and came back in 2024, only to have a bone spur on his left big…
Let me be very clear about this: It was one game, and we should not be surprised that on this team, everyone hits or no one hits. Yesterday, the bottom of the lineup, led by Tommy Edman, got all five Dodger hits (and drove in three runs), while the vaunted top of the order took…
As I wrote last week, “ Worry is a Misuse of the Imagination.” I stand by that! The Dodgers are missing a whole arsenal of arms: no Clayton Kershaw, no Tyler Glasnow, no Tony Gonsolin, no Gavin Stone, no Dustin May, no River Ryan, no Emmet Sheehan, no Alex Vesia, no Brusdar…
The Mets are the surprise team of 2024 in the NL. They were picked by most writers and bloggers (including me) to finish near the bottom of the league. They ended up winning 89 games and making the playoffs, and they knocked the Milwaukee Brewers out of the playoffs. They are a…
I love the Dodgers, and I remember every big win since 1963. They were all sweet, but for personal reasons, this win was very significant. It was significant for two reasons: (1) because, for the past three seasons, the Dodgers have had an early, ignominious exit from the…
When I saw that Dylan Hernandez said the Dodgers should make Game Five another bullpen game, I knew that was exactly what they shouldn’t do. A monkey throwing darts at a NASDAQ list of companies in the Wall Street Journal is right more often than Dylan Hernandez! It’s going to…
Yesterday, the real Los Angeles Dodgers showed up and put an 8-0 beatdown on the Padres. You could clearly see the fear and confusion in the Padre’s eyes at the end of the game. In the process, the Dodgers raised their BA to .244 as a team (SD is at .246), and they have now…
Walker Buehler deserved better! He no longer has the ability to put hitters away like he used to, but the Padres dinked and dunked him and the Dodgers’ defense to death in the second inning when they scored six runs. If he was really lucky, he would’ve gotten out of the inning…
In the last three combined post-seasons, the Dodgers played ten games and won three… TOTAL. This year, the Dodgers have played two games and lost one while winning one. So far, they are better in the post-season this year than the last three combined. Yes, it’s a small sample…
I went to bed in the 5th inning. I got up at 5:30 AM and had to take my wife to the airport, so I was tired anyway. I spared myself the pain! In some games, everyone hits, or no one hits. I felt it. I did not feel it in the first game. They lost, and the score is irrelevant. In…
All week, ad nauseum, we have heard that the Dodgers’ starting pitching was too thin, and many Dodger fans were worrying about the bullpen too, and Mookie, and Freddie, and Max, and the real ignorant ones were worried about Doc making the wrong move. For all I know, they were…
