For a run of six seasons from 2011 until 2016, Madison Bumgarner was a “horse” pitching over 200 innings each year. It culminated in 2016 when he was a key cog in winning the Giants third World Series in six years. In that 2016 season, MadBum pitched 226.2 innings during the…
In a Theme from a Halloween Movie, the Dodgers came back from the grave and led by Christ Aylor’s three-home run night (see what I did there) scored 11 runs as they pounded the Atlanta Braves 11-2, and send the series back to the ATL on Saturday. The Braves are putting on a…
The Dodgers were in this same position last year. They were down 3-1 to the Braves and won three straight games. I was confident that they could do that… LAST YEAR! I do not think they can do it THIS YEAR! If you have a great team, The Whole Is Greater Than The Sum Of Its Parts…
I watched every painful pitch yesterday and was certain that the Baseball Gods were frowning on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Every missed call went for the Braves and even weak contact resulted in a hit for them. I was about ready to concede that the Big Dodger in the Sky was…
The Dodgers Bullpen has pitched 36.2 innings in the playoffs this year. The Braves bullpen has pitched 23.2 innings. The Dodgers bullpen is tired. Let me remind you that many of your mocked and ridiculed me when I suggested resting the pitchers the last two weeks of the season…
I am not sure why, but it seems like this season the Dodgers have to do things the Hard Way. Now, that they are down 2-0 they are going to need to win 2-3 games in a row, and in typical Dodger fan fashion, the bitching and blaming has begun! You complain about Roberts taking…
Unfortunately, the Dodger hitters did not execute. As good as Mookie Betts was in Game 5 of the NLDS, he stunk it up last night. Chris Taylor committed an unforgivable base-running blunder and I want to remind all the IDIOTS that wanted to get rid of Cody Bellinger that they are…
This first item falls under the category of “that Ship Has Sailed.” I had always predicted big things for Kike Hernandez. In fact I likened him to JD Martines. I had hoped that Andrew Friedman would keep him, but ultimately Kike wanted to start, and Boston gave him that…
This has to be short and sweet. I have some early meetings… The game started after 9:00 last night, so it was late… Yes, the Giants won the NL West. Yes, they won the season series with the Dodgers. The Dodgers had to win the Wild Card Game to get into the playoffs. They did and…
I hear some Dodger fans write or say that the Giants are just having their way this year, that the Giants are just lucky, that they have the Dodgers number. I hear that some don’t trust Joe Kelly, Kenley Jansen, or several other pitchers. I say that they are a bunch of Negative…
Mookie Betts, Corey Seager, Treat Turner, Will Smith, Gavin Lux, and Cody Bellinger all had two hits last night. That’s a lot of hits! Twelve to be exact to go with five walks. Everybody hits or nobody hits… well JT took a collar last night as did CT3, but hopefully, they can…
In this NLDS, the Dodgers and Giants have played three games. The Dodgers have outscored the Giants 9-7. The Dodgers have outhit the Giants 21-16. The Dodgers are hitting .208 while the Giants are hitting .176. The Dodgers have a .252 OB% while the Giants have a .208 OB%. The…
