- Some days, pitchers just have trouble landing certain pitches. Last night, both starting pitchers had that problem. It happens… move on. If it happens in the playoffs, the Dodgers have the arms to handle it. Neither Kershaw nor Webb had their control last night. I wonder if the humidity (fog) had an effect?
- I think the possibility exists that Will Smith might not play for a few weeks, if at all. Rush seems fine. At least in the first round, we could see Rushing and Rortvedt.
- Do you remember Cavan Biggio? Neither do I. Do you remember who was traded to get him? 24-year-old Braydon Fisher (now 25 and a starter for Toronto). He has been up and down this year, but lately has been really good. His line for the year: 43 IP, 6 W – 0 L, 2.91 ERA, 56 Ks, 1.02 WHIP. This has to be in the category of a dope-fiend move. Sorry, Andrew!
- Henriquez is solidifying his role. So is Wrobleski. Yates? Ha (Dope-fiend move).
- Tanner Scott looked fine with a huge lead. I have to see a lot more of that to trust him again…
- As usual, nobody hits or everybody hits. Even Tanner Scott can’t blow a six-run lead.
- Too many pitchers are pitching Max Muncy inside. Start an opener and drill Devers. Send the Giants and the league a message. Hell, start Clayton; he can pitch to two batters, and he will gladly give himself up. This shit has to stop! Man up, Doc!
- Glasnow and Ray today. It should be a good game.
- The Dodgers need a “manly” offensive celebration, much like what David Peralta did with his Choo Choo Celebration:
Minor League Notes
- OKC
- 22-year-old Christian Romero went six innings for the Coments, allowing two hits, no runs, no walks, and six strikeouts. Impressive!
- Dalton Rushing caught the entire game and was 0-1 with a Sac Fly and 2 BBs. He appears to be fine.
- Bobby Miller pitched one inning, allowing one hit and one K. All his fastballs were 97-99 MPH. He has only pitched four innings in September, so he may still be an option for the playoffs.
- Tulsa
- James Tibbs III played 1B and was 2-4 with a walk, double, and 3-run HR (his 7th). He is hitting .269 with a .911 OPS.
- Zyhir Hope was 3-4 with 4 TBI. He is hitting .267 with a .713 OPS. He played RF.
- Tulsa’s magic number to reach the playoffs is 1.
- Great Lakes
- Their Season is over.
- Rancho Cucamonga
- Their season is over, and so is their affiliation with the Dodgers, as they move to Ontario, California. I am anxious to see the new complex.

I call BS!

I’d have Yates throw at Devers. He gets ejected and then the Dodger DFA him. But all Dodger fans will have fond memories of his time as a Dodger.
Pussies on TBLA don’t even let you have this take. Fuck ’em.
Bueller with his “pitchers that pitched for a long time deserve certain parts of the plate that other guys don’t get.” is full of shit in my opinion. To think that you deserve for a ball to be a strike because you’ve been around for a while, it’s freaking ridiculous.
100% agree.
He’s just grasping for anything that will save his career.
Cone on, would you really trust Bobby Miller even one inning in the playoffs. I would give Andrew Heaney a shot before I’d let Miller get anywhere near a mound in October. Yates also should NOT be on the playoff roster.
Miller
Frasso
Gervase

Are all 2026 plays
yates should not be allowed in dodger stadium! really! they sent ben casparius down and kept yates? no way to justify it i don’t care how much money yates makes.
One of your best rants! Bring back a prospect to hammer a few Giants is a great plan. Kershaw doesn’t throw hard enough.
Conforto is solidifying himself as a playoff member.

Great moment of silence for the murdered influencer at Dodger stadium. Oh, I’m sorry, that was Yankee stadium and Wrigley Field.
Any moments for the children shot at school the same day?
Sometimes stfu is best
Got my daughter’s wedding photos back today.

BTW, her husband played baseball with Zack McKinstry for several years.

One of the happiest moments of my life!
Aww… Congrats, Mark!
Nice photos of the recent wedding. Dalton Rushing is eligible to be activated off IL on Tuesday.
That Wedding pic of you and your daughter must mean a helluva lot Mark.
I would imagine that was finally closure. Congratulations.
I always feel bad for thinking this because he is my favourite all time Dodger, but I just worry that Clayton is going to be a distraction this Post Season.
He is not in our best 4 Starters and therefore superfluous. He is not a Reliever (we have many better options) and therefore superfluous.
Will they have the balls to leave him off the roster??
I know it seems harsh, but there really no place for him. He was really like an early Trade Deadlime signing, one that absolutely contributed at a time when we really needed it, and his record is incredible considering he has had to reinvent himself to a degree. An incredible season.
I just fear that they’ll feel the need to appease him, in a way justifyably, but I feel if they do he will become a distraction.
Sheehan can give us length.
Yates just hasn’t got it. Let’s see what Heaney can do.
I’m rooting for Confrto
Or, depending on how his next start goes, Sasaki b
I don’t know how Glasnow will fare today at San Fran but his road ERA is 5.68 compared to 2.38 at Dodger Stadium.
Enough Dodger fans to feel like home. With PHI tomorrow, the playoffs essentially start today.
Yes. Phillies are tough. Dodgers still have an outside chance of catching them to earn a pass in the wild card round.

According to Bill Plunkett of the Southern California News Group, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Ohtani’s next pitching start is scheduled to come Tuesday at home against the Phillies.
Roberts: Roki Sasaki “Open” To Pitching In Relief
“Roki Sasaki has been on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City for 31 days now, meaning that he would normally need to be activated from the injured list or pulled off his rehab assignment today. That’s not the case in this instance, however, as manager Dave Roberts told reporters (including Fabian Ardaya) on Friday that Sasaki dealt with “a calf situation” during his rehab that extended the time he could be allowed to spend in Triple-A. He’ll make at least one more start in the minors, per Roberts, at which point it’s possible he’ll move back into pitching in MLB games”.
team starting to round into form.
Conforto BA .200
Today was an “everybody hits” day.
Even Conforto!
His 3-for-4 day (for 3 RBI!) got him to an even .200 for the season.
Future NLCS MVP???
The better offensive news came from Teo, who with four more hits seems to have fully shaken his recent doldrums. Mookie and Freddie had three hits each, and two for Edman, who played.
Ten runs and 18 hits from a team with Max and Smith sidelined with injuries…. all backing another strong performance from Glasnow.
Hoping to see Roki soon. Hoping he’s another reason to bump Yates from the playoff roster.
