Many fans do not think there will be a full season in 2021. While I cannot guarantee there will a 162 game season, I think we are likely to see at least 120 to 140 games… and maybe 162 games. If you just have “sight” you might not see it. I think it takes “vision” to see it. In the Summer of 2020, just about every media outlet said there was “no way a vaccine would be approved in 2020“. One journalist said it “would take a miracle” and another said he “would bet his left arm it would not happen.” Don’t make this political, but we will soon have two, not just one vaccine and millions will get vaccinated this month. Some people simply enjoy saying it can’t be done while others just do it.

Most people thought it was not possible. Everyone knows that vaccines take five to ten years to develop… until they don’t! They were relying on “sight” but some had “vision” and the vaccine was developed in record time. The military and other agencies and businesses have been gearing up for the vaccine and it is now gaining steam. Never underestimate the power of the human spirit… especially when they unite in a common cause.
People Who Say It Cannot Be Done Should Not Interrupt Those Who Are Doing It
However, the MLB owners and the MLBPA are at odds over when the season should start. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported this on Tuesday:
Major League Baseball executives and owners, wanting players to be vaccinated before arriving to spring training, would like the 2021 season to be delayed until May, even if it means shortening the season to 140 or fewer games.
The Major League Baseball Players Association, believing it proved a year ago that teams can safely adapt to protocols, wants the season to start on time, playing all 162 games with full pay.
And here we are, with just two months before pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report for spring training, and no one has any idea what will happen.
“I don’t see a snowball’s chance in hell that spring training can start with protocols in place,’’ a National League owner told USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the issue. “I think there will be significant pressure for players to get the vaccine first before they go to spring training, and if that has to be moved back to April and play 130 games, so be it.
Both sides have sight, but lack vision. Just like no one thought a vaccine could be developed in under a year, I happen to believe that baseball can play at least 140 games if not 162. Baseball is still “America’s Pastime.” Last I checked it still had an anti-trust exemption (although that could change in the future). With lots of American’s staying home, why not make arrangements for MLB to have pitchers and catchers report on March 1st… or thereabouts? America would enjoy it and it would somehow brighten a tough time for all.
I really have no clue how many players, coaches, officials, employees and the like report to Spring Training, but it has to be between 1,000 to 2,000 per team. That means that as players and other employees show up, they get the vaccine and then the second round 21 days later. Problem Solved! VISION! 30,000 to 60,000 vaccines go to MLB. I would endorse it. They can have mine – I’ll take it later!
The problem is that Manfred Mann and his band of owners are not communicating with the union. They are negotiating a new playoff deal and the union is totally out in the cold. They are just assuming that the season will be shortened, but the players have not been consulted. They are holding the DH as a bargaining chip to get the union to agree to expended playoffs, but the players want the as well.
They are contracting the minor leagues and are shoving a new contract down the club’s throats that they chose to keep. Negotiation is a dialogue between two or more people or parties intended to reach a beneficial outcome over one or more issues where a conflict exists with respect to at least one of these issues. The MLB Owners and Robber Manfred are not negotiating in good faith, in fact, I could argue that they might have intentions of busting the union. Not that I believe that would be an easy feat, but the owners are drunk with potential power after feeling substantial losses after last season.
I will say this: MLB owners are getting richer and richer… and that’s OK and… for the most part, players are getting richer and richer (although most teams are figuring out that long-term dope-fiend deals are not conducive to long-term sustainable winning). That’s OK, but it is unsustainable, in my opinion. I am not sure where all this will lead, but it doesn’t look good to me.
Here’s where I am:
- We love baseball and I will continue to support Minor League Baseball Big Time;
- We used to have Indianapolis Colts tickets – I got rid of those;
- We had 6 Indiana Pacer season tickets – but we have no interest in the NBA anymore;
- We will continue to go to Dodger games;
- We are exploring the possibility of getting a Suite at the Indianapolis Indians this year – it’s the best ticket in town and it’s all about sports. Just like this site – it’s not about politics!
What’s Next?
I have no clue and I have nothing to add… except to say that if the MLB owners and the MLBPA have the vision they can make a full season happen. If they just have sight, baseball could be forever doomed! I certainly hope that more rational minds can prevail, but it’s apparent that right about common sense is not so common.

As I recall your vision said a month, my sight said at least a year, maybe longer.
We were both wrong.
It appears we have multiple vaccines. But the fact is nobody knows how well they work yet. And, getting them distributed still presents some logistical problems.
I think it’s possible not knowing how soon the owners can open gates for fans they will negotiate for a shortened season. I don’t see it being safe for that until late Spring. This thing is blowing up everywhere. I admit I don’t have “the vision” required to KNOW anything about target dates, I only know I’m staying in my bunker until the coast is clear. My best guess is a delayed start to ST, it will be shortened, and the season could start as early as May. 125-140 games is possible. Likely? Iontkno. Nobody does.
Actually, you are misquoting me (as usual). I said months!

I have already decided that if asked, I will not play since I am in the category where 80% of the deaths have occurred.
No how – no way!
The plan is wrought with problems and I am sure that if players want to opt-out they will be allowed. We don’t yet know if it will come about or not, but it is interesting.
I really have no opinion about whether it will come about or not. There are lots of issues. However, a lot can happen in a month, including a cure or vaccine. Many scientists are working around the clock. I have a strong feeling it will happen sooner than later. I am just worried that we have blown everything up so bad we are headed to a depression…
My response:
‘“However, a lot can happen in a month, including a cure or vaccine. ”
In a month? You’re dreaming.’
A lot can happen in a month, that’s true. But to expect a vaccine to be ready in a month, as you suggested, is simply nuts.
I don’t know if these vaccines are going to work. Hope so. I do know however that Warp Speed is science fiction, That was an odd handle to apply to that operation, but odd has been the order of the day for some time now.
Science fiction! Are you high again? Don’t disarm yourself with such flippant comments, you undermine your whole reasoning and line of thinking. Warp speed had everything to do with the elimination of the red tape involved with getting things thru the governmental crap that bogs down things. The science is the science, Warp Speed was about the red tape. Puff, Puff, Pass.
No, not high. Clean and sober for years now.
Do you know anything about Warp Speed?
I looked it up. “WARP DRIVE. The main propulsion system for most starships that is capable of faster-than-light travel.
The core of the warp drive uses derivatives of exponential change in velocities to control the annihilation of matter and antimatter. This controlled explosion is what generates the tremendous power required to warp space and travel faster than light.”
On Earth, warp drive was invented in 2063 by noted scientist Zefram Cochrane. Even as late as 2150 the warp drive engine was officially known by most as “gravimetric field displacement manifold”. The successful first trial led directly to first contact with the Vulcans. Most cultures throughout the Milky Way used the term “warp drive” and by the late 23rd century it was the most common term used by the Federation. In the 2250s the term “hyperdrive” was used by Starfleet. The Ferengi used the term “light speed drive”.
Now I’m sure you accept this information as fact, but Caltech professor Sean Carroll, who reviewed a report by our Defense Agency, explained that while theories on faster than light travel are legitimate, they did not represent “something that’s going to connect with engineering anytime soon, probably anytime ever”.
Yes Truth, science fiction.
NFL and NCAAF are getting close to completing their seasons. Not to mention all the soccer leagues across the world are playing or completing their seasons. The NBA is also starting their season. It makes absolutely no sense that MLB can’t start on time with or without a vaccine.
Dodgers Nation has back to back articles on JT. One saying that AF is preparing to let him go and the other saying that he will be back with the Dodgers. Here’s the quote from AF…
There are a couple of areas that are front of mind for us that we’re focusing on. One is adding a right-handed bat, and with our position versatility, it doesn’t have to be at third base. Obviously, we’ve been very vocal about JT and how much he has meant to this organization. He’s earned the right to go out into free agency and get a feel for the market, and it’s incumbent on us to be prepared for if he and Kourtney find an opportunity they fall in love with for whatever reason.
Sounds like AF is putting the ball in JT court. So, it looks like AF is just as comfortable in bringing JT back as he is in letting him walk. Is JT prepared to go to Toronto for a few years, or will he take a one year and an option? Or possibly a two year with less guaranteed money?
MLB owners saying they want to be cautious, wait until personell are vaccinated sounds good. But my guess is they want to delay so they don’t have to play games without fans in the seats.
I’m with you, it’s reasonable to expect 140 games. The owners are ok with any number as long as they’re making money, not losing it.
“But my guess is they want to delay so they don’t have to play games without fans in the seats.”
That’s my guess too.
Spring Training just can’t happen. Butts in seats can’t happen until 70% vaccination rate has been achieved. When will that happen? Obviously I don’t know. June? July? When do all of you expect to get vaccinated?
I’m not in a rush to get vaccinated, but I’m not fully against it either. I don’t often get the flu shot, but when I do, I inevitably get the flu anyways. Right now I can’t say I will get it for sure, but I can say that I won’t be standing in line to get it. I’m going the wait and see what happens route.
There simply won’t be any vaccines approved before 2021, not to mention that the MLB, NBA and other professional will simply not be able to have any seasons during 2020, plus, oh wait a minute, never mind. At least none of this stuff had anything to do with politics and political posturing. Damn, the Truth Hurts.
Tricky, that one.
May would seem reasonable. LA County expects to have enough vaccine to give shots to the entire county sometime in March. US will have enough vaccine by the end of January for 50 million. You don’t have to vaccinate everyone, some people won’t get it.
It would seem the virus will surge following the Christmas and New Year’s Day get togethers.
Players obviously want a full season, but without people in the stands owners may want to wait. After I get the vaccine, I’m ready to go back to games, the movies etc. Some may still be wary.
This is new Science, a different kind of vaccine, one they say will create a major breakthrough going forward. They don’t use live virus.
Tech changes, science changes, play ball.
Myself, I would love to see a full season. I also think it boils down to how open everything is. The Niners had to move their game due to California’s shut down. But a lot smarter people than me are the decision makers. The virus has not had a major effect here where I live. We have had only 30 cases. Up in Denver, things are worse for those folks as the Governor has a lot of restrictions. Only event cancelled though was the USC-Colorado football game. That was due to cases at the school. We will get through this. It might be a while before any semblance of normalcy returns. As for when the vaccine will arrive, we have not heard much about it here.
Well, I suppose the Rockies could move their home games to Cañon City. 😉
Everyone is guessing, but the scientist are just saying “mask up”. It’s possible to sell X amount of tickets, insist on masks and attempt to keep people 6’ apart, but I don’t see that happening. Liability is just too large.
I ask again, when do all of you intend to get vaccinated?
Yeah, we could build a temporary field at the Abbey. There is a huge cow pasture out there and the way the Rockies play it is the perfect surface for them to play on. Call me bull headed. I am not getting vaccinated. As little as I go out and as few people as I am around who are in the same position, I just am not going to do it.
If you build it, I will come.
Ok, probably not.
I’m laying low until March. I might consider it for my 73rd birthday. Depends on how soon the VA is involved. I’d like to travel back to Oklahoma sometime next year and figure I’ll probably have to get vaccinated to do it.
I admit I was wrong about when they would have a vaccine ready. I did not know of mRNA science. I’m assuming the scientists that back this technology know their stuff but I don’t trust corporations as far as I can throw a 25 pound medicine ball, which I haven’t done in years.
I sure this works. If it doesn’t, we’re f’d.
I totally get it my friend. Of course where I live the population is less dense, so less chance of interaction unless you are at the market. Our main street thrives on foot traffic. Which of course in winter becomes a crawl. They have lost a lot of the tourist business because of Covid. Most of the shops are antiques and stuff. A lot of that here in Colorado. Florence, the next town over is the same type of town just smaller.
I’ve been to your town twice. You got a good Mexican restaurant on Main Street, an ok Chinese restaurant too, but frankly not much else was going on there. Quiet. Very quiet. Quiet is good. I got a buddy up in the hills outside of Grass Valley/Nevada City and he said the same thing you just did. Nothing going on there. But cities? It’s awful. They are setting up mobile field hospitals here in Orange County in preparation. Hospitals are full. Stay put. Mask up when you shop. Stay away from people. Especially the stupid. Steer clear of stupid.
The mRNA technology will soon be the platform for other vaccines and even cures for diseases like cancer, maybe ALS and other insidious diseases. I say soon, meaning that is the direction they are headed.
There is a REALLY good Chinese restaurant in Florence. The Jade Cafe. I have friends who live in Nevada just southeast of Sparks. Medium size town. They are also not having any kind of spike. I am more cautious than afraid of anything. Hell, I am 72 and been through a hell of a lot in those years. Considering the crap I did when I was young, and how bad of shape I was in with all the weight I carried until I had the operation, I am totally surprised I made it this far. 30 years older than what my mom was when she passed. I am actually pretty healthy except for the mild diabetes and the damn arthritis that is just a total pain. My BP is a steady 122/78. When it happens, I will accept it. But so far so good.
First chance I get Badger. Since I can still drive a golf ball 260 yards, I don’t qualify for the first round. Getting the vaccine will be a great shot in the arm.
I practiced for it by getting the second Shingles shot today.
I can still hit it 275… if I land it on the cart path and get that second bounce. It’s a skill shot, but I’ve done it before.
You’re old enough to go to the head of the line. We’ll be checking in on you.
David, you asked me some questions about Walter Alston at the end of yesterdays post. Alston was extremely low key. The best skill he had as a manager was getting the best out of his players. When he took over in 1954 he had a pennant winning team loaded with veterans. They had been together as a unit for quite a while, His only real job then was managing the pitching staff. Just look at his 1954 starting lineup and you can see he did not have to do much unless someone got injured. Campy, Hodges, Gilliam, Reese, Hoak, Amoros, Snider, Furillo. In 1954, Jackie Robinson was sort of their super sub. He played 4 games at 2nd, 50 at 3rd and 63 games as the left fielder. Hodges, Gilliam, Reese, Snider and Furillo were the only players to have more than 140 games at a position. Campy had maybe his worst season putting up a 0.1 WAR in 111 games. The teams he had in LA were much different. They were driven by pitching. He was excellent at the use of his bullpen for the most part. He had reliable relievers, Labine, Perranoski, Sherry, Brewer. And he usually had very good starters on his staffs. Tactically, he got out managed some times. They all do. But his teams were usually competitive. He was not the only one frustrated with Koufax. The entire organization was pretty frustrated with him. The main problem was control. His fastball had a mind of it’s own, and he had not yet mastered the curveball that would be one of his best weapons. He was almost traded to the Yankees for Elston Howard. But Bavasi thought better of it. A B game in spring training turned his career around. Norm Sherry, Larry’s brother, was catching him that day. He told Sandy to not try and strike everyone out. Just throw to the glove. His entire career shifted on that outing. He went out and pitched 7 shutout innings, and he was on his way. As for O’Malley being stingy, well it was a different time my friend. Players never signed for more than one season back then. And it was said Alston would sign a blank contract and send it back. So he must have been paid well enough to stick around for 23 years. I think his election to the Hall of Fame is where his ability’s as a manager were rewarded. He was quiet, did not say much or draw any attention to himself. He was definitely not the showman Tommy was. But there were times his players were disgruntled with him. Some said he was indecisive, especially when he first took over. But locker room incidents were rare. He had 3 strong players as Captains, Reese, Snider and Wills. And to tell the truth, as strong as he was, no one on the team would have ever challenged him to a fight. Even Frank Howard said so. And he was HUGE. He did not show his emotions in public at all. Getting a read on what he was thinking was pretty hard. I always thought the one person who described him the best was Vinny. he just said he was The Quiet Man.
Thanks, Bear!
Anytime
The Dodgers signed Andrew Schwaab, former Yankee farmhand to a minor league deal. Throws sidearm. has 50 career minor league saves. Also pitched in the Red Sox and Tiger organizations. Cubs signed reliever Jonathan Hader.
Schwaab. Sounds like a good investment.
Hey, somebody had to say it.
Just googled Hader. Says he plays hockey.
My bad, it is HOLDER, not Hader. There is not much free agent buzz. Former MLB player Andrew Suarez, the pitcher signed in Japan I think it was. Lots of guys opting for Korea or Japan.
Dylan Hernandez the LA Times guy I think had a story where he said the Dodgers should move on from Kenley Jansen. I am not sure anyone would take his contract, but what I do think is that they DEFINITELY need a backup plan. Hendricks would be perfect. Maybe not in their financial budget though. I also read somewhere that they have an interest in Ryan Steneck. Former Marlin reliever who was DFA’d a couple of weeks ago. Supposedly has a blazing fastball, but little control.
I read Dylan’s article as that they needed to move on from Jansen as closer, not to jettison him from the team.
Considering that the Dodgers are regarded as the second richest team in baseball, I’m not sure why Hendricks wouldn’t be considered in their financial budget also considering that this is Kenley’s last year of his contact at $20 Million next year. I will go out on a limb here and say that I don’t think any free agent reliver will be paid $20 million next year or match his $80M five year deal that he signed in 2017.
This is the cheapest market for relievers in a long time. Time to stock up.
Well, they can’t move Kenley’s contract, so we are stuck with him. While I am not counting on him as “the closer” I do think he will have a good year. He was the reliever of the month in August and had a 3.33 ERA last season. For some relievers, that is good. I think he works hard and put up a good year, but if not they have lots of internal choices.
I agree. We saw that 96 was still in there. If he can fix his mechanics, he can have another great year. He’ll be looking for a contract, so I’m sure he’ll put in the work this offseason. Worst case scenario, he becomes Baez’s replacement as a 6 or 7th inning guy. I doubt the Dodgers are done with their pen and am hopeful that sign at least one guy from the top end of the free agent market that can close.
MLB told the managers to be ready to start spring training on time in mid February. Me and my eyeballs, I will be glad when I finally get my laser surgery to clear up the fog. I got the name wrong on that reliever. His name is Ryne Stanek. He was lousy with the Marlins last year. But Friedman knows him since he drafted him for the Rays. Realmuto talking to the Nats, and Kim having discussions with the Jays.
News on Dodgers catcher Keibart Ruiz…
He was in Venezuala Winter ball and was scheduled to play there until January 10. Until a Venezuelan beat writer posted on twitter that “keibart Ruiz will no longer play with @leones_cbbc for the rest of the campaign. In fact, he was not with the team yesterday.
No reason was given for the departure.
I just read that. Interesting, but since his stock in the organization has slipped some, understandable. Also he was hitting .129 down there. Not exactly lighting up the place. I am beginning to think that Ruiz will soon be on the block and could be used to get something they really need.
I was always a Smith over Ruiz guy and thought the Dodgers should have traded Ruiz for several years now. I like the Smith / Barnes tandem.
Ruiz is still the #2 Prospect behind Gray. You only trade a guy like that if you can get a great return. Evidently, AF has not seen the right deal. I hear that if Turner is not re-signed or another 3B acquired that Smith could get a “look see” at 3B or even 2B (I prefer him at 2B)…. and yes Lux could move to the OF if he doesn’t conquer his yips.
Can you say Over rated? I would hope they would get something good in return, but those other teams have more info on these players than we do. Maybe his work ethic was not so good down there. Who knows. He might be listed as their #2 prospect, but he is still just a prospect.
Hopefully traded to Trout.
Aww Bum, ya had to go and ruin it with a trade that is NEVER going to happen. TO Trout? What? Is he buying his own team now?????
I made a mistake and said “to” instead of “for” but since I wrote it all in one paragraph I thought you would understand. So, you don’t think the Dodgers can trade Ruiz for Trout? I am not sure a team can build around one player that chews up as much payroll as does Trout anyway.
I totally understand, I just like reading your reply’s,
I think players want to be paid for a full season and would be willing to play less than 162 games if their pay were not prorated.
Dodgers could try to swap bad contracts involving Jansen or package a good prospect with Jansen in a trade.
I don’t trust Turner’s hamstring or knees and personally would only want him if his contract were incentive laden. It’s time to move on from Turner.
If the Dodgers were reasonably assured they could extend Story then they should go after him, either as a SS or third baseman. Put him at third for 2021 and then see what happens with Seager after this year.
Damn, I agree with you Bum. That doesn’t happen much! I think his knees and injury history over the last 3 seasons or so and the fact that he is 36 now, dictate that Turner should no longer be considered the guy at 3rd. If they have the DH, well, he still can hit. But there were more than a few times, including in the playoffs, I wondered if he was going to be able to run the bases.
Hoese is most likely at least 2 years away. We need to plug that hole with someone for at least 2 years maybe 3. I think of Turner as a worst case scenario. DJLM, KB and Arrenado all make a lot of sense. I’m sure Colorado doesn’t want to trade Nolan to us, but Nolan has a full no trade clause. I wonder how much Colorado likes Keibert?
I don’t think Turner is done. He projects well, (.829 OPS, 429 PA’s) we just need to rest him a lot. He played in 135 games and put up over 1,000 innings in ‘19, 4.1 WAR. I keep hearing he can’t catch up with a high fastball. So what? A high fastball is a ball, so lay off it. And he hit .307 with an .860 OPS this year. Others would love to have his problem if they got those results. The answer is to split time with Rios and DH his last couple of years. What’s that worth? $16 million x 2 with a club option and a buyout. Then hire him as a coach.
All that said, if we decide to move on I’m fine with trading for Arenado or moving Seager to third and trading for Lindor or Story.
I agree Badger about Turner’s bat and glove but not his legs. Any success he would have at DH would also mean he had to run.
What makes you think he can’t run? He hit 9 doubles, 1 triple and stole a base this year. Lose 10 pounds, do daily yoga and go 7 innings 2 days in a row, with DH and PH appearances and he can easily put up 3 WAR. Rios plays the rest of the time and also puts up 3 WAR. That’s in the ballpark with Arenado for half the price.
It WILL work.
Bear, you might agree with me more if you didn’t interpret what I say so literally. There are players I like, Dodgers and others, and I swap them around for the fun of it. That said, I am a lot more right about Gleyber than you are. He can hit and anybody who has been a full time middle infielder for the Yankees at age 21 has a strong vitae.
Vitae? Is that a muscle or Italian for attitude?
Vitae, a word used to play a little with Bear.
Bum, seriously? Bears are dangerous and not to be played with.
I don’t think the Dodgers should resign Turner until they get a yea or nay on the DH for 2021. If there is no DH then I wouldn’t resign him. I like the option of moving Smith to 3B and maybe platoon him with Rios. If they don’t plan on making Rios a everyday player then they should think about trading him. He’ll be 27 in April. If not now then when?
It might be an overreaction on the Ruiz’s winter league disappearance. Venezuela is in chaos and there is always a chance he could be kidnapped for ransom. It’s happened to other Venezuelan ball players in the past. Maybe, it was too dangerous for he and his family and they just left the country. Just a thought. I don’t think he should be trade bait at this time.
Dylan Hernandez is a feature writer and knows little about what’s what with the Dodgers. He occasionally dives in with his Dodger opinions which are researched from his imagination. Who really cares if he thinks the Dodgers should move on from Kenley as their closer or teammate? He wakes up every few weeks and decides to write some lame idea about the Dodgers. As I have mentioned in the past LADT feature article contributors and responders are much more informative and articulate.
To respond to Badger about my desire to get the vaccine is right now I’m in the wait and see camp. My major concern about the vaccine is that it has to be stored at such a low temperature. What if the batch I’m getting is not stored properly and is distributed anyway. You know, “well it was only exposed for a short time so we thought it would be OK” excuse by some medical personnel that really doesn’t care much anymore. At this stage of my life I’m not around large crowds much. Many of my friends are going to get the shots so that could help with my immunity. But, we’ll see how things go. I just had my second Shingles shot today. Talk about a dead arm for a day. But, it’s worth it. It has a 90% effective rate similar to the Covid vaccine.
Everyone just assumes Hoese is a sure thing. He’s not highly rated for a prospect his age and hasn’t shown to be any where near Lux’s production in the minor leagues. He’s got a lot to prove this year to be projected as our future 3rd baseman. I’m not turning down a good deal this year for a third baseman waiting for him. In fact I’d put him in a package for Story or Bryant if needed
Hoese might not be as good as Lux has said.
Pretty sure AF isn’t trading Hoese for Bryant.
Wow, what a mixed bag today…
I’m not going to two step with the base!!! I’ll just wait for the cheek to stop bleeding…
Badger I’ve been friends with Bill for 32 years this month… Damn near a guru, at least for today!!!
I will stick with Turner…
Jansen, now that’s a horse of a different color… Damn it just seems like yesterday I was watching him convert to the pen in San Bernardino… The aging process is a bitch…
Did Cartaya get ant any quality time last year???
P.S. I’m overjoyed about the vaccine and just glad science is involved…
You lost me Pete.
Who’s Bill? Gates? 1988. That’s the year he became a billionaire, right? Tell him I said hey.
I don’t think anyone got quality time last year. Well, maybe everyone on the Dodgers big league roster did. Although I was thrilled we finally did it, celebrating wasn’t really possible.
Dave Roberts interview…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H7F5vN41wc
He seems to really want JT back. Top priorities are a leverage reliever and right handed bat.
He seems to feel like Price will be back next year, but isn’t 100% certain. Looking forward to having Brandon Morrow back also had good things to say about Knebel, “A guy you don’t want to face” and Nelson, “When he’s healthy he’s as good as anyone”.
The pitching staff is going to be incredible if everyone comes back healthy. I have my doubts about Morrow and Nelson, and Robert’s trademark optimism only makes me feel slightly more confident they’ll contribute significantly.
What’s up Badger, Mover??
Well, there’s a blast from the past!
I thought you had been abducted by aliens…
How you doing?
I saw your comment was in moderation – so I released it. Jeff closed this thread – we close them every day, so why don’t you respond on today’s thread – The Trade.
Glad to see you are here.
