The Clan of the KayBear

August 17, 2020

One of my all-time favorite books is Jean Auel’s “Clan of the Cave Bear.” After Keibert Ruiz hit a home run in his first MLB at bat, I thought it only appropriate to call this blog the Clan of the Kaybear. By the way, if you have never read that book and the “Earth Children” series, I strongly recommend it. First of all, while everyone was in love with Will…

It’s (About, Finally, Way-Past) Time for Dodger Baseball

July 23, 2020

Before we start the season, let me say that I am extremely excited that Mookie Betts will end his career (probably) in Dodger Blue. Unlike many of you, I am not surprised. We all know how much Andrew Friedman loves his top prospects and he simply was not going to part with three top prospects (including Tony Gwynn-esque, Alex Verdugo) for a rental. Do the math! So… This is Goodbye!

April 9, 2020

It has been about 20 years that LA Dodger Talk has been a big part of my life. Good Times. Bad Times. All the Times. I have met some great people. I have had a lot of fun. This was the year it was all supposed to come together and win it all, but what a strange time we live in. This is not the place or time to go…

Four 2017 Prospects Revisited

April 8, 2020

I thought it might be fun to look back to 2017 and what Keith Law had to say about some Former Dodger Players. I like Keith Law a lot. He has a lot of insight into prospects… but he is not perfect. If he was, someone would be paying him $50 million dollars a year. Jose De Leon Born in Puerto Rico but drafted in the 24th round out of…
