- Clayton Kershaw’s two innings before the rain sure give me a lot of hope that he is back!
- OTOH, Tanner Scott’s 4th blown save is very concerning!
- Don’t be too quick to throw out the bathwater with Luis Garcia in it.
- Is Lou Trevino for real?
- The Clock is ticking on Conforto…
- 9 Singles, 7 Walks, 1 Double = 7 Runs… Huh?
- Teo is carrying the team right about now.
- Mike Sirota is a beast: 2-3 yesterday with a walk and 2 RBIs.
- DePaula is working on his weakness: footspeed, and last night he stole his 11th base!
- Eriq Swan went four and allowed two hits while striking out six and walking 3.
- At Rancho, Elijah Hainline is hitting .331, Joendry Vargas is at .310, and Samuel Munoz is hitting .287
- At Tulsa, Jose Ramos is hitting .268/.901 OPS with 10 HR, but Jackson Ferris is struggling mightily after getting shelled again last night (5.45 ERA). Ronan Kopp picked well last night, but has a 5.40 ERA.
- At OKC, Alex Freeland hit a 3-run HR, his 4th, and Michael Kopech pitched a scoreless inning with a strikeout.
- My Pacers went up 2-0 on the Knicks, heading back to Indy for Game 3.
- Miguel Vargas is hitting .230… which is #2 on the ChiSox.
- Walker Buehler (4.00 ERA) is clearly not the pitcher he once was.
- Keibert Ruiz is hitting .276, but OPS doesn’t lie- It’s a paltry .685!
- Alex Verdugo: 115 ABs, 0 HR, .650 OPS – waste of a roster space.
- The Indy 500 tomorrow should be interesting with the new hybrid engines. The hybrid system in IndyCar uses a Motor Generator Unit (MGU) and an Energy Storage System (ESS) to provide additional power and energy recovery. The MGU, which is part of the bellhousing, captures energy from braking and engine deceleration, storing it in a supercapacitor within the ESS. Drivers can then deploy this stored energy for a boost in power, similar to the push-to-pass system.

Awesome stuff. I like the format. Sirota is out of his mind right now.
7 runs. Top three hitters 1-13!! Shows how deep we are on offense. Mookie probably still showing effects from illness. Probably struggling to keep weight and strength up.
Maybe clock ticking on Conforto (he did get 1 hit), but 13 innings and Rojas did not play
But also top 3 had 4 walks. So pitching around them means Teo gets to bat with runners on base. You can’t pitch around everyone!
Exactly. Teo’s like the 4th handsomest member of your crew still getting play because his boys distract the hotties.
Andrew Friedman’s motus operandi in the offseason is to grab low end free agent relievers maybe a guy in the middle. But never high priced marquee relievers. So last offseason my interest got piqued when he gobbled up Scott and Yates. That was a head scratcher. But knowing AF, it will probably pay dividends down the home stretch.
Keep the faith.
Book em
When Scott gave up the first HR I was saying he’s moving down the “trust tree”. When he gave up the 2nd I said, he’s moved OFF the “trust tree” and someone needs to saw off that limb! He was an expensive off season acquisition specifically to close but seriously what the hell is wrong with him? Dave is not going to want to use him again unless the lead is 5 or 6 runs and then nervously.
Both pens got wrung out last night so tonight may get ugly early.
‘what’s wrong with him’? I wouldn’t be surprised if he is next with forearm tightness or inflamed shoulder

“The good news for the Dodgers was that Michael Kopech pitched a perfect inning, needing only 14 pitches (11 strikes) and reaching as high as 101.7 mph on his fastball. Kopech had been having difficulty finding the strike zone in his previous rehab appearances, and now might be close to returning to the Dodgers’ bullpen”.
