Well, seems like Mark is going to shut down this site. Been a fun ride. Adios Amigos

I certainly hope not this is the first site I go to in the morning even during the off season. Mark does an excellent job of providing a place to express our love of Dodger baseball. I’ve been following this blog for at least 15 years and enjoy the overall atmosphere of the site.
I totally agree. I have not been here that long and I started writing for the blog in 2020. Mark has a lot of responsibilities and keeping the blog going takes up a lot of his time.
Bear,
Enjoyed your blog posts on former Dodgers and other old time players . A few weeks back, you did a recap of active former Dodgers and gave a pretty good rundown. First reply for that article was from philjones (?) and he always has good takes; he sounds/reads like a coach, always looked forward to what he had to say…..
And as a relative newcomer to country music (old, pre-90s, or more like pre 80s), it was cool to read your opinions on the genre …..The Possum: the great, inimitable George Jones— a new fave of mine….
Cheers….
Take care everyone…..
Thanks Pee Wee. I was blessed with a decent voice and I also was at the right place at the right time. Country Music scene in LA from the late 70’s until I left in early 1994 was awesome. There were so many venues for live music. The Palomino, Georges Round Up, Cowboy Palace, Cowboy, DJ’s Ranch, Golden West, Western Connection, The Forge, Little Nashville, plus all of the others whose names escape me now. Orange County had quite a few too. I got to do shows with some name stars, was in one of the major talent contests with a band I was with. It was a great time. I got to sing the anthem at Dodger Stadium, so for me it was the best time of my life. I really miss it.
By the way Bear, I also appreciate the articles you write l know it takes a lot of research to complete them. They are very informative and interesting.
Thanks, I am still writing over on Jeff’s site, Dodger Chronicles.
I agree with Ron. Bear, you have done an incredible job with your articles. I know they are a labor of love for you.
Thanks a lot Patch, I really appreciate that.
Wow, I certainly hope not Mark. I don’t post that much, but I do enjoy reading this site every single day. I know there’s hundreds of others out there that never post that read this site.
It would be a shame, if a few bad apples would be allowed to ruin the whole barrel
I hope all the readers will post and tell you how much they APPRECIATE YOU and this Great community you’ve created for Dodger lovers
Appreciate you Mark , please don’t shutdown the site!
How many times has this been threatened?
A few, but a lot has changed. Mark and I are the only two contributors now, so it takes a lot of his time, and he also has a business to run, then trying to keep the content interesting and current takes a lot of work on both of our parts. The weight of running the site and trying to keep the wackos off is not easy either. Luckily, we have gotten very few trolls on here. Unlike when the Dodgers allowed posting on their website.
It’s a shame you guys don’t know when to let stuff go……
I think it goes deeper than that Watford.
Mark and Bear you two do a hell of a great job writing about different interesting stories please keep it going and I seldom post but read the Blog every morning and nights
This site is one I go to many times each day. Best Dodger site for news. Will really miss reading the comments, even those with whom I disagree! I am 80 & a Dodger fan from age 8.
While I’m not one to post, I’ve really enjoyed this website and will miss it if goes dark. Mark and Bear both do an excellent job and most of the comments are insightful or at least harmless. I hope it stays up.
I haven’t posted lately because of all the crap I’ve taken and then I finally fought back and then all was well for awhile and then I got the crap again so I stopped posting. So I understand about shutting this down. But I’ve still been reading as my first go to read when I wake up. I hope it doesn’t get shut down. But thanks for the read everyday when I wake up and I’ll miss my wake up read. I’ll leave this with my signature below.
Just my 2 cents.
Have not always agreed with you Eric, but I do love your passion for the team.
Mark you are right to end it. You carried this cross long enough. Enjoy your freedom from it!!!!
Sorry it has to end in the middle of the season with the Dodgers in first place. Great job Mark and Bear. I enjoyed my time on the site and whatever I could contribute .Wishing everyone here good health.
