Forgetaboutit!

What do I make of the game two debacle in Seoul. Very little! We know that the pitchers are better than that. Now, I realize that some Dodgers fans are so skilled in their analysis of players that after one game or one inning they can make a determination as to whether that player needs to go back to OKC or the boneyard. I am not that skilled! I wish I were. I do know that this Seoul Series caused both teams to cut short their Spring Training Regimen and also that just regular nerves which sometimes appear early in the season are a thing. I actually saw a lot to like.

  • I like the fact that the Dodgers just kept coming back.
  • Well… actually, that’s all I liked.

If this teams scores eleven runs, they are usually going to win. Just not today. I was heartened to see Gavin Lux look relaxed and confident at 2B in both games. I am convinced that the team made the right decision flipping Mookie and Gavin and unlike some people who think playing SS is going to somehow ruin Mookie, I think Mookie can stay there for two or three years.

I was also excited that Will Smith went 4-6 and I put zero stock in Max Muncy’s errors. The pitching was rough at best. OK, it was bad! It’s one game and nobody on the mound looked good. Nothing to see here, Folks… move along. The Freeway Series starts Sunday. Then, it starts all over again a week from today. The Dodgers are 1-1 and I will take it!
