It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I have to tell you that Always Compete, whose real name is Jeff Dominique has had a personal tragedy in his life that is going to have to make him step away from the blog.
I got this e-mail from him this afternoon:
Mark,
I am done for awhile. My son Kristopher died in his sleep last night. I had a post ready to go for tomorrow. You can publish it or change it.
I will let you know when I am ready to come back.

I have 2 sons and a daughter and cannot comprehend losing one. It is simply incomprehensible. Please send your thoughts and prayers to Jeff, Andy and his family and I wish them Godspeed.
You will read his post tomorrow. I have so many tears….

Prayers to you and your family AC. This is so sad to hear as parents shouldn’t have to outlive their children. I can’t even begin to comprehend your grief. My condolences.

AC, no words will change the finality of death in this life. But, if you believe as I do that God will give everlasting life to those who believe in him then there are better days ahead. I pray that God will provide comfort to your family in the difficult days ahead.
Family is so very important. Hope for his future and for yours is the greatest comfort.
Very sad news. There is no such thing as strength or any how to, your world is off and planets will never be in alignment. There’s no way to tell you how to feel. nothing is right. All I can say is that I feel pain for you and your family AC. It don’t get worse than to go what you’re going through. So very sorry.
I’m at a loss for words. I’m so sorry AC. The friends you have made on here care deeply about what you’re going through. My sincerest sympathy

I am a lurker that follows this blog every day. With much sorrow I offer my condolences to AC and his family at this time of great loss.
I am another lurker – mostly. There is an old song by the McGarrigle sisters that says, “When harm has been done, no love can be won. I know it happens frequently. But I can’t understand, oh, God please take my hand. Why it had to happen to me.” Perhaps this is what Jeff is feeling? Jeff, know that you are loved by this group of people.

Jeff, No words suffice at a time like this. Just know from what has been written here that we all consider you part of our extended family and are hurting along with you.
